Feraliza is proud to present this new version of her classic song Cosmic Train, featuring 5 piece Invercargill band The Cosmos. All the musicians created their own parts, making this track a unique take on the original.
The Band are:
Feraliza on lead vocals and acoustic guitar,
Stephen James on drums,
Zac Butler on bass, backing vocals and whistles,
Christian Dela Cruz on Keys,
Simon Tinielu on electric guitar and
the Tui out the window.
Recorded at Sit Sound with recording engineers Stacey Sheppard and Daniel Western. Mixed and mastered by Feraliza of Feraltech Productions.
The cover image by Daniel Western shows the iconic Invercargill train station, previously know as the Southernmost passenger station in the world, with its abandoned and fenced off passenger platform. A cheeky Feraliza appears poised to jump the fence, raising questions like: "What is she up to?" And "Is that a coal train?"

As a compliment to a song which paints such a romantic picture of rail travel, this image serves to promote a restoration of passenger rail services, which have not been available between main South Island cities in Aotearoa since 2002 when the Southerner ceased its operations on the main trunk line connecting Invercargill, Dunedin and Christchurch.
The railway line is still used for freight including transportation of coal from the Takitimu Coal Mine in Ohai, the proposed expansion of which Feraliza has been seen protesting earlier in 2022 with the blockading of the mine and subsequent release of the track "Feralist". In 2020 she attached herself to a railway line in Dunedin to blockade the same daily train, destined for the Clandeboye Dairy Factory in South Canterbury.

Lyrics:
Verse 1
Waiting on the edge of time
For the cosmic train to roll on by
And take me to an unknown destination,
I bide my time, sitting on a sign
Down at the station
Practicing patience when, Ooh
The whistle blows
Again
Chorus
Woot Woooot
The whistle blows
Here we go again
Verse 2
Stepping on, stepping in
The setting sun is at the rim
And I am on the move again
My heart is broken
And growing again
My friends are always here
Wherever, whenever, whoever so-ever
We've been
Regressing, Digressing,
Addressing, Progressing
And testing and resting
And then
The whistle blows
Here we go
Again
Chorus
Woot Woooot
The whistle blows
Here we go again
Verse 3
If I trust in my feet
And I keep to the beat
Then I know I'll be sweet
Time is on my side
I bide my time, sitting on a sign
Down at the station
Practicing patience, when, Ooh
The whistle blows
Again
Chorus (x4)
Woot Woooot
The whistle blows
Here we go again
